GENERAL QUESTIONS

[item title=”What is your mailing address?”]
CAKE&WHISKEY Magazine
2310 Far Hills Avenue Suite 1
Oakwood, Ohio 45419[/item]
[item title=”What is your readership?”]
The readership of CAKE&WHISKEY is international. From C-Suite businesswomen to start-up entrepreneurs to grad students and grandmothers, CAKE&WHISKEY is devoted to telling the stories of all women on their career journey, at every stage.[/item]
[item title=”Why cake & whiskey?”]
The idea was born initially as an event: a way to connect women who had passion for ideas and goals but shied away from a typical networking event. Both cake and whiskey were served at that initial hobnob and several months later, CAKE&WHISKEY; the Sweet & Spirited World of Business magazine was born. Our founder loved the play on words, and discovered that women, as well as men, resonated with the balance of both needed in business and life.[/item]
[item title=”How can I get involved in a hobnob?”]
CAKE&WHISKEY hobnobs happen in cities around the country throughout the year. Jump over to our hobnob page to see the dates and locations of the upcoming hobnobs. Don’t see one currently being hosted in your city and you’d like to spearhead that? Let us know![/item]
[item title=”How can I/my business be featured in the magazine?”]
We are very often asked, “Where do you find your amazing stories?!” We love that question.
Our stories do not come from PR pitches, from articles recently published on Huffington Post or Forbes. Instead, we here at CAKE&WHISKEY use much of our energy just keeping a pulse on what women are doing around the world. We ask questions, we visit locations, we touch base with our contacts in various countries, and we join in on hobnobs to meet real women doing seemingly ordinary things that we find to be quite remarkable….and think our readers will too.[/item]
[item title=”Do you offer internships?”]
Yes! We offer several internships throughout the year, both in-studio and remote. Please check internships.com for the latest.[/item]
[item title=”Do you have any job openings?”]
Since we rely mostly on freelancers, we do not have any full-time positions available. If you would like to freelance for us, please send your resume and samples to editor@cakenwhiskey.com[/item]
[item title=”Where can I purchase a copy of the magazine in person?”]
CAKE&WHISKEY is carried in Barnes and Noble locations nationwide, as well as at independent bookstores worldwide. If you would like to see CAKE&WHISKEY in a shop close to you, let both them and us know![/item]
[item title=”How often is the magazine released?”]
CAKE&WHISKEY is published quarterly as follows: Spring (February-April), Summer (May-July), Autumn (August-October), and Winter (November-January).[/item]
